Why I call Gainesville home
I’ve lived in Gainesville since 1972 and graduated from the University of Florida in 1989, so I know this community from both a personal and professional perspective. That was also the year I got married — apparently, I believed in tackling major life events all at once. Nearly 40 years and three now-adult sons later, I’ve learned a great deal about patience, flexibility, clear communication, and maintaining a sense of humor. As it turns out, those skills come in surprisingly handy in real estate.
A path that led here
Before entering real estate, I worked in research, biotechnology, and education. It may not sound like the most obvious path to selling homes, but analyzing information, explaining complicated subjects, solving problems, and remaining calm when things get interesting are remarkably useful skills in this business.
How I work
My approach begins with listening. Every client has different goals, priorities, and circumstances, so I take the time to understand what matters to you before recommending a plan. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling your fifth, relocating, downsizing, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, I’ll offer honest advice — even when the answer isn’t the one with the prettiest kitchen.
I combine local knowledge and personal service with market data, modern technology, and carefully considered marketing. Numbers are important, but they’re only useful when someone can explain what they mean without making your eyes glaze over.
Let’s talk
If you’re considering a move in Gainesville or anywhere in North Central Florida, I’d love to hear about it. Call me at 352.359.5600 or send a note — and let’s find your way home.
